About Dr. Pallathra

Dr. Ashley Pallathra is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who utilizes a collaborative, culturally-responsive, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She is committed to developing a warm, honest, and non-judgmental atmosphere in order to facilitate an emotionally-safe and therapeutic space for growth. Dr. Pallathra is a Staff Psychologist at CEH, offering services both in Cherry Hill and through the convenience of telehealth.

Dr. Pallathra’s expertise lies in addressing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, depression, early childhood disruptive behaviors, body-focused repetitive behaviors, tics, and trauma. She provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on individualized, evidence-based treatments. Her repertoire includes therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), and Comprehensive Model for Behavioral Treatment (ComB). Dr. Pallathra also has experience with delivering full-model Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and select strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Dr. Pallathra earned her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania, and subsequently her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at The University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Pallathra is an active member of the Asian American Psychology Association, the American Psychological Association, and the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).

Beyond her role at CEH, Dr. Pallathra is a writer and published author (Missing Each Other: How to Cultivate Meaningful Connections). She is passionate about sharing evidence-based insights into social communication, relationship skills, and mental wellness with the wider public. Dr. Pallathra has authored articles for popular media publications (e.g., Psychology Today, Medium, Harvard Business Review Magazine, Fast Company) and published research findings in peer-reviewed journals. She has shared her work on multiple podcasts and been quoted by media sources such as Forbes and Men’s Health.
