Dr. William Pilny

Dr. William “Bill” Pilny is a Licensed Psychologist in NJ, Certified School Psychologist in PA, and serves as Staff Psychologist at The Center for Emotional Health. Dr. Pilny earned his Ph.D. in School Psychology from Temple University and completed his APICC- and APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Compass Health Network in Columbia, MO, where he honed his skills in Clinical Psychology.

Dr. Pilny has extensive experience in providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. He is skilled at using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) to treat individuals with anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and tic disorders. Dr. Pilny also has extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Dr. Pilny is especially skilled at conducting psychological and psychoeducational evaluations, with expertise in assessing ASD, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), anxiety and depressive disorders, and OCD, among others. Dr. Pilny has a deep understanding of school systems and the special education process, which makes him particularly adept at working with families navigating educational challenges.

In his practice, Dr. Pilny is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. He is passionate about making mental health care accessible and effective for individuals and families. He offers both telehealth and in-person services in Cherry Hill, NJ, and is dedicated to helping clients reach their goals, whether through therapy or a comprehensive evaluation process.
