Sometimes, the most effective way to bring about meaningful change for children and their families is by working directly with the parents. CEH clinicians offer parent training and behavioral interventions to address challenges such as a wide range of childhood anxiety disorders and OCD, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, disruptive behavior disorders, and interpersonal struggles within the family. For example, programs like Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), led by Dr. Audrey Torricelli, supports young children and their families in improving parent-child relationships and managing behavioral issues. Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE),an evidence-based program that empowers parents to reduce their child’s anxiety by modifying their own behaviors. Parent Management Training (PMT) is also available, equipping parents with practical strategies to effectively address and manage their child’s disruptive behaviors.
Skills-based group programs at CEH offer individuals a unique opportunity to learn and develop a therapeutic, specific skillset.
