About Dr. Wiltsey
Michael T. Wiltsey, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist and the Director of the Center for Forensic Psychology at CEH. In this capacity, he supervises and conducts forensic psychological evaluations on such matters as parental capacity, psychological liability cases, and other civil forensic issues. Dr. Wiltsey has been a part of the CEH family since 2010, bringing expertise in both evidence-based psychological treatments as well as comprehensive psychological assessment.
As a therapist, Dr. Wiltsey provides skillful cognitive-behavioral therapy, strongly valuing the importance of utilizing empirically supported treatments for psychological problems. Dr. Wiltsey has expertise in treating a variety of clinical disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, specific phobias, social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder, other anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders. He is also experienced in treating trichotillomania, excoriation (skin picking) disorder, and hoarding disorder as well as severe mental illness.
As an evaluator, Dr. Wiltsey conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations for many purposes, including but not limited to, school referrals for child behavior issues, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, behavioral problems, autism spectrum concerns, and treatment planning.
Dr. Wiltsey holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He has provided psychological services in numerous clinical sites, including corrections, psychiatric emergency screening, a state psychiatric hospital, and outpatient settings. He has presented workshops at meetings, served as faculty at the Graduate level, and has published in the peer-reviewed journal, American Journal of Forensic Psychology.
Dr. Wiltsey is a member of professional associations, including the American Psychological Association, American Psychological Association, Division 41, American Psychology – Law Society, and American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
