Introduction to Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy
This is a live interactive webinar presentation via Zoom.
Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) is a treatment for patients who suffer from emotional and behavioral over-control (Lynch, 2018). Some clients lack emotional control and need interventions designed to enhance emotional and behavioral control; others, for whom RO DBT is designed, require interventions designed to relax rigid or inflexible control. RO DBT has been researched over the past 20 years for patients with chronic depression (Lynch et al., 2020) or anorexia nervosa (Hempel et al., 2018). Research results suggest that it is effective in these, and other, hard-to-treat groups such as but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (Cornwall et al., 2020).
Participation in this program will enable you to:
- Explain a new biosocial theory for Over-Control.
- Understand the 4 core deficits of over-control.
- Describe the RO-DBT treatment hierarchy.
CE Credit: 2.0 hours of CE credit is available for attendees who are present for the entire program.
