About Dr. Deana
Dr. Samantha Deana is a licensed psychologist and serves as a staff psychologist at CEH. Dr. Deana received her doctorate (PsyD) in clinical psychology from La Salle University after completing a pre-doctoral internship at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center. She completed her formative clinical training in a variety of diverse settings including outpatient clinics, medical centers, and community mental health organizations.
Dr. Deana specializes in exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD, prolonged exposure (PE) for PTSD, and cognitive-behavioral treatments for social anxiety, panic disorder, specific phobias, generalized anxiety, depression, and insomnia. She also has expertise in the treatment of body-focused repetitive behaviors including trichotillomania and excoriation disorder (skin picking). In addition, Dr. Deana has a strong interest and clinical background in mindfulness and acceptance based approaches, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Dr. Deana is an active member of several professional associations, including the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), and the TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors.
