About Dr. Rouzitalab

Dr. Sheila Rouzitalab is a Licensed Psychologist and Staff Psychologist at CEH, where she first joined as a postdoctoral fellow in 2022. Dr. Rouzitalab specializes in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors, tics, anxiety disorders, and trauma. She is committed to fostering a warm, collaborative environment for patients to feel supported and understood.

Dr. Rouzitalab provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She utilizes empirically supported treatments and implements them flexibly to meet each patient’s unique needs. Dr. Rouzitalab is proficient in the following evidence-based treatments: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Comprehensive Model for Behavioral Treatment (ComB), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Dr. Rouzitalab also has experience with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), aspects of which she weaves into treatment as needed.

Dr. Rouzitalab received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her master’s and doctoral degrees from the Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, clinical program. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, child and adolescent track.

Dr. Rouzitalab is an active member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) as well as the American Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African Psychological Association (AMENA-Psy).
